Have you heard of Uber?  It's like a taxi service, but instead of getting a questionable driver that smells like cigarettes and Drakkar Noir in a dirty cab, you get a classy private driver in a town car or luxury sedan.

It's free to sign up and you can call a car and pay the driver all from their app. Short rides are about $5-$10 more with Uber than with a cab, and it's more expensive for longer rides (a trip from Hollywood to the airport would be close to $100).  

Uber is perfect for a special night out, especially if you don't want to pay for a limo service with a three-hour minimum.  I've used it for four fares and have been totally satisfied with the service and the drivers.  Give it a shot the next time you want to be sometimes fancy.
